Ms. DeLancey was selected as the Medical Center Director at the Albany Stratton VA Medic al Center (VAMC), effective April 2, 2018, after having served as Interim Director since June 26, 2017. She has been employed by VA for the past 29-years, beginning her career in 1988 at the Albany VAMC. During her time there, she served in various positions including Director of Education and Executive Staff Assistant to the MCD. In July, 1999 Ms. DeLancey joined Veterans Integrated System Network 2 (VISN 2) where she served as the Lead Health System Specialist, Chief Learning Officer and Acting Chief Operations Officer. In 2011, she was appointed as VISN 2 Deputy Network Director (DND), where she directed organizational changes and set priorities in the development of the operating platform. In April, 2014 Ms. DeLancey was selected as VISN 2 Interim Network Director (IND), serving in that role until December, 2015. As IND, she was responsible for the leadership and management of an integrated health care network that included VA’s in Albany, Western New York (WNY), Syracuse, Canandaigua and Bath, along with 27-NY Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and two CBOCs located in northern PA. In July, 2016 Ms. DeLancey was appointed as DND of the newly formed New York/New Jersey VA Health Care Network (VISN 2), a merge of former VISN2 (upstate NY) and VISN3 (downstate NY and NJ). VISN 2 serves over 500,000 Veterans in NY, NJ and PA.

Mary Ann Witt was selected to serve as the Associate Director at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center (VAMC), part of Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 2, effective October 15, 2017. She has been employed at VA for the past 39-years, beginning her career at the Albany VAMC in 1978.
During her tenure at VA, Ms. Witt was afforded depth and breadth of experience, serving in a variety of key positions at both the Medical Center and VISN 2. She began her career as administrative support staff, serving Veterans in clinic areas. Over the years she broadened her experience, taking on roles as Fiscal’s Administrative Program Director for Cancer Care Services, Administrative Officer for Research and Development, and as a Health Systems Specialist for the medical center. Accepting a position at VISN 2, Mary Ann took on the responsibility of oversight of all Business Office functions, in addition to overseeing the Community Care program throughout the Network. In April, 2014, she was tapped for the role as Acting Deputy Director for VISN 2, which she served until December, 2015.
Ms. Witt graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) - Empire State College with a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Administration. She also holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting she received from Maria College. Ms. Witt is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of Healthcare Management Association of Central NY, where she served as a Board Member and Treasurer for many years. Additionally, she is a graduate of the VHA Executive Career Field and Health Care Leadership programs (2003) and Leadership VA (2012). In her personal time, Mary Ann is an active volunteer with the Northeastern New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Chief of Staff
Dr. Farber was appointed Chief of Staff of Albany Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York in January, 25, 2017, having held the position as Interim Chief of Staff since July 1, 2016. Dr. Farber graduated AOA from Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, New York. She is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and has been Section Chief of Ophthalmology in VA since 1993 and ACOS for Education since 2002. Dr. Farber is also a Professor of Ophthalmology at Albany Medical College and has been the ophthalmic pathologist at Albany Medical Center since 1993. She has served as the Program Director of the Ophthalmology Residency Program at AMC from 1994-1999, a board director on the American Board of Ophthalmology from 2002-2009 (Chair 2009), a member of the ACGME Ophthalmology RRC from 2003-2010, and a counselor for the American Academy of Ophthalmology from 2003-2009. She was elected President of the Association of VA Ophthalmologists 1998-2000 and President of the American Association of Ophthalmic Pathologists in 2007-2008. Dr. Farber has been a member of the Surgical Advisory Board for Ophthalmology for the National Surgery Office from 2009-2016, which she also currently chairs.
Dr. Farber continues to mentor and teach AMC ophthalmology residents in the VA eye clinic and has received recognition as “Teacher of the Year” for 1995, 2000 & 2004. She has initiated and implemented programs contributing to the enhancement of graduate medical education. Dr. Farber has a keen interest in medical simulation training, writing written and oral examination questions, and the development of lifelong learning programs.

Associate Director for Patient Care Services
Mrs. Amy L. Wettig was selected to serve as the Associate Director for Patient Care Services (ADPCS) at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, effective December 8, 2017.
Amy has been employed for the Veteran’s Health Administration for the past 10 years, beginning her career at the Albany VAMC in September, 2007.
Prior to beginning her career at the Albany VA, Amy has served thousands of patients as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a wide-range of health care settings including general Medical-Surgical, Emergency Department, Step-down, and Critical Care settings. Prior to becoming an RN, Amy has worked in critical roles that support patient care such as Nursing Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse.
During the timeframe of 2010-2017, Amy steadily expanded her role from staff nurse to various nursing leadership positions such as Nurse Manager, Surgical Nurse Lead, Associate Chief Nurse for the Medical and Surgery Service, and the Interim ADPCS.
While steadily expanding her role, Amy obtained a Master’s Degree in Nursing with the concentration in Nursing Administration. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Delhi as well as an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Southern Vermont College.
Amy also has a passion for mentoring. In 2016, she received recognition for her contribution to the preparation of baccalaureate nurses from the SUNY Delhi School of Nursing. Ms. Wettig is a member of The American Nurses Association (ANA) and The American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE). She is currently preparing for the Nurse Executive Board Certification (NE-BC).
